Reread John 8:48-59. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to stir faith and joy in your heart towards God. Stop and intentionally worship God in response to what is revealed about God in this passage.

  • Rejoice that you know and are known by The Great I Am, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, and the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • What in this passage is helping you see where you’re in need of spiritual formation (growing into the image of Christ)?

  • What area of your life are you showing symptoms of believing lie #1 - that your life is all about you? Remember, the domain of evil exists in lies.

  • Reflect on this reality: Sin is a circuit breaker. Using another analogy, we’re all on God’s life support, and sin takes us off of his life support. What can you take to the Throne of Grace in repentance and confession so that you can be reconnected to his life in the Spirit.
